Destiny 2 - Lightfall Downtime Engagement

During expansion launches, Destiny 2 would be taken offline for 24 hours or longer. This was a great opportunity to “jingle the keys in front of our players” and distract them. One of these downtime engagement campaigns asked our fans to retweet a social post. As each of the milestones that were hit, we would publish the next threaded image in the series.

I pitched this idea, then worked with Bungie Creative Studios team to help bring my creative vision to life. I wrote the social copy and set the milestones, then published the original post.

It quickly became one of our most popular posts on the Destiny 2 account, helping to drive hype and engagement in the lead up to Destiny 2: Lightfall.
