I have had a hand in planning, creating, approving, and executing almost every social media post on the 40+ DestinyTheGame social accounts for the past 3.5 years. This page helps to serve as a broad representation of the breadth and depth of my writing:
NOTE: Most Destiny 2 content appeared simultaneously on Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, Discord.
Twitter links are provided below as their search tool is the most powerful of the aforementioned six platforms.
Major Trailers
Working with our marketing team, I wrote the social media copy as well as the YouTube video’s title and description. I was also responsible for uploading and scheduling all finalized assets:

Social Summaries
Easy to read and quick to share posts about what a new update contains. I was responsible for creating the list, getting the topics approved by marketing, and working with the Bungie Multimedia Design team to create the assets and get them delivered on time for posting. I was also responsible for owning the copy that appeared on the social post itself.

Evergreen engagement content
Repeatable content that helped to keep the community entertained during downtime of their favorite game:
Summary threads
Posts 1 and 2 of 25 for Monument of Triumph’s information dump.
Helped to gather important topics about an update in one centralized place, which kept the engagement on our owned accounts, as opposed relying on fan accounts to collate the information:
Short Form Cut-downs
Assets that take existing large marketing assets and repurpose them into short-form shareable posts with bespoke and approved copy. My role was to watch the large trailer and provide timestamps of the content that needed to be cut-down, as well as write the aforementioned original copy.
Social engagement content
I frequently asked players to talk about their own characters, investment, and personal connections to Destiny 2.

Blog Posts
Working closely with the Bungie Community Team, I frequently wrote bite-sized social media focused versions of blog posts and other long-form written content:
Live-Service Game Updates and Information
As Destiny 2 is a live-service game, there was frequently new content and live game updates for our social media channels to post about. My role was to write all of the social copy, as well as work well-ahead of time with our development, publishing, and multimedia teams to familiarize myself with the product and request assets that could be used for specific and non-specific social media posts.

Regenerating sword ammo that leaned into a bug cheekily: https://x.com/DestinyTheGame/status/1832131934043963855
One-Thousand Voices is not a sword, it is a fusion rifle. However, in-game it was mistakenly regenerating ammo during Sword Week. By including it in our “What sword are you using this week?” post, we showed that we were indirectly acknowledging the issue and having fun with it.
Social culture and keeping it fun
Occasionally, we would have opportunities to jump on social media trends and keep it fun. I was armed with a Photoshop license and a dream: Make it funny, keep it brand-safe. By strategically using the brand account to occasionally comment on social trends, we helped to ensure that the focus stayed more on Destiny 2 game content than “what is the next social trend we comment on?”
